  |     |   Uncategorized

What’s your plan of attack for keeping your Houston apartments organized during the holiday season? If you don't have one, we think it’s high time you got one. That’s why we’ve decided to dedicated this week’s blog to the idea of apartment organization. Specifically, we’ll be telling our residents how they can maintain a sense of order in their home during the holiday season.

You know that feeling you get when you walk into a new hotel room and everything is clean and tidy? It’s a good feeling, and one you can easily replicate in your apartment if you can manage to stay organized.

The thing about living in an apartment is that you have to stay organized. Our floor plans are spacious, but even the biggest apartments can fall victim to clutter if you’re not careful. If you want to keep your sanity intact during the holiday season, we recommend utilizing some of the strategies laid out below. The more you can stay organized, the better you’ll feel when you walk into your apartment after work.

Let’s get to it, shall we? When you’re done reading this week’s blog, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your favorite community of Uptown Houston apartments.

Use the backs of doors

There’s plenty of storage space in your apartment, so long as you know where to look. The backs of your doors and cupboards can be used to add extra storage space to your already spacious home. There are plenty of products out there that can help you turn the backs of your doors into extra storage space. Click this link to see a few!

Develop a nightly cleaning routine

In general, it’s a good idea to have a nightly routine. The more you can do the same thing every night before bed, the more your body will begin to recognize that it’s time to start getting tired. One productive way to take care of your nightly routine is to turn it into a cleaning routine. Try doing the same thing every night like clearing off the countertops or making sure your closet is organized. Before you know it, you’ll be falling asleep faster and waking up to a cleaner apartment.

Keep the sink clear

This last one might be simple, but it’s also the most effective way to keep your kitchen looking good. Few things will make your kitchen look messy faster than a dirty sink. Keep the dishes in the dishwasher, the cupboard or in front of you while you’re eating. Anywhere else, and they’ll cause a mess that can be hard to tackle.
